Hands-on learning and online courses from Chamberlain University are designed to provide pre-licensure nurses with a foundation in nephrology.
On Sept. 12, DaVita Inc. announced its collaboration with Adtalem Global Education to launch an “Introduction to Nephrology Nursing” course as part of Chamberlain University’s Practice Ready. Specialty Focused.™ initiative.
In January 2024, Chamberlain students in the pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) can begin taking online courses and then a hands-on clinical practicum designed to provide a strong foundation in a nephrology nursing career.
According to an article published earlier this year in Nephrology Nursing Journal that included the age ranges of American Nephrology Nurses Association members, only 1.3% were under 30 years old while 66.9% were 50 or older.
Chamberlain is the No. 1 educator of nursing students in the U.S. DaVita is one of the largest providers of kidney care services in the U.S.
