Scott Liles stands at the helm of Adtalem’s medical and veterinary segment, where his leadership oversees the strategy, academic programs, campus and clinical operations, and admissions of Adtalem's medical and veterinary schools. With a rich career spanning over two decades, Liles has become synonymous with fostering mission-driven growth and innovating within the educational sphere, particularly in the realms of medicine and veterinary science.
Before his tenure at Adtalem, Liles led as CEO of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), the leading global organization aimed at halting financial crime through education and advocacy. His leadership at ACAMS is a testament to his dedication to mission-driven work and his ability to steer organizations toward impactful goals.
Liles' journey also includes transformative roles within Nationwide Insurance, where as president of two growth and innovation companies, he not only turned around Nationwide Pet Insurance but also launched Spire Insurance. This new venture under Nationwide's portfolio emphasized innovation, a mobile-first approach and a focus on the millennial demographic, showcasing Liles' forward-thinking and adaptive leadership style.
His diverse career path has taken him from serving as a legislative aide in Texas to an economist in South Africa, and from leading a U.N. development initiative in Vietnam to strategic roles with Accenture and McKinsey & Co. in global capitals. These experiences have endowed Liles with a multifaceted understanding of global issues and the strategic acumen necessary to navigate complex challenges.
Scott Liles' academic credentials, including an MBA from the London Business School and a master’s in economics from the University of Cape Town, have provided a solid foundation for his leadership roles.
